I had a wonderful experience at Basil Thai. The two ladies working there were very welcoming, and the atmosphere was slightly more elevated than a typical restaurant. The food was delicious. We both had the pad Thai, and there was more than enough for both of us to have shared if we wanted to. I really appreciate it all of the extra tiny details that they put into carving the carrots and the cute way they tie the straw on my to go water. Overall, it was a great experience. I would definitely come back although we were just stopping by traveling through the state.

This was my favorite restaurant during my years studying and living in the United States. It was here that I tasted Thai food so authentic that, to me, it was even better than what I had in Thailand. But what made this place truly special was that I met one of the most important friends of my life here. Niki, although we lost contact after I left the U.S., if you ever see this message, I hope life has been treating you well. I will always remember your kindness, your warmth, and the way you stood by your friends. I still remember the mango sticky rice you made by hand and brought to me late at night after work, and the tom yum soup you lovingly made for me and my friends when we came to eat at the restaurant. Your friend from China, Sandy, still thinks of you from time to time, and still remembers the beautiful moments you gave to me and my family.

Highly recommend! I’ve had some really good Thai food. This was right up there. Medium spice was really good and flavorful! The crab rangoon are awesome! The Pad Thai was awesome. I did beef and added mini corns and shoots. I’d probably even go up to a hot heat on that one. The Pauang Curry with chicken was good at a Medium heat. I added mushrooms and bamboo shoots. Very flavorful. The pineapple fried rice is awesome and the chicken skewers too!

I really love this restaurant The service is really nice The food amazing The price is reasonable, and the meal is enough for a person. My sister and I shared food, and we loved it! Sorry, I forgot to take a picture before I had it! But I want to show you how yummy it is! 😊 I am Vietnamese-Asian, and the taste is delicious Clean, friendly, and nicely decorated Highly recommended

Sweet Basil Thai Bistro is a solid choice if you're looking for authentic Thai food in Denton. The restaurant was clean, and the staff—who appeared to be Thai women—were friendly and attentive, which added to the authenticity of the experience. We ordered the seafood sauce, beef and broccoli, oyster beef, and a thai drink. The food tasted fresh, and when we asked for extreme spice, they delivered. It was really spicy (in a good way) and still flavorful. It helped clear up the sinuses for sure. Portion sizes were okay, but I didn’t leave completely full—there could’ve been a bit more meat in the dishes. That said, the overall quality made up for it. Prices were reasonable for fresh, sit-down food—about $70–$100 total depending on tip—which isn't too much more than fast food these days. Service was quick, and we were never ignored. Based on that alone, I’d come back. If you’re looking for a clean place with fast service and real Thai flavors, Sweet Basil is worth checking out.
